Thanks for your F30 review! I was waiting for it, like many others, and the review told me what I already thought: purple fringing is the only serious flaw of this camera. I'm going to buy one for my wife, including the underwater housing: what a joy it will be for her to use the 'natural light and flash' possibilities under water!
I found a very useful site explaining the cause of purple fringing and two FREE Photoshop (and Paint Shop Pro) plugins to remove purple fringing. I downloaded the 'Purple Fringing Tunnel of Doom' photo and used the filters with excellent result, using a selection of this photo showing the problem.

I agree, the flash+natural light mode looks really handy. With my F10 I use that combination very frequently. I was interested to note recently when taking photos for eBay of various objects, about half came up better under flash (particularly objects with white surfaces), and half better under natural light (particularly couches, chairs etc).

Anyone want a second hand F10? :)
