Hi

I was wondering how the F11 and F30 differ in terms of manual functions. I'm considering replacing my aging Sony DSC-W1 with a DSLR and a new compact camera, and as the money saved by choosing the F11 instead of the F30 could go towards another lens for the DSLR, I'm considering getting the F11 if it doesn't mean that I'm sacrificing any functionality.

Andreas

There is not much difference in manual functions, mainly layout, the EV button is on the back on the F30, not in the menu, and the ISO selection is one step closer to the top, so a little more convenient. With the F11 some like to set the EV to -1/3 or -2/3 for most shots, with the F30 0 may be fine most of the time. The F30 LCD should be set at -3 for accuracy.

If you want a nice used F11 email me...I may sell mine...they will be hard to find new...When I bought mine I bought it with the transferable 5 year Mac warranty.

Whatever your decision, best of luck, they are both really nice cameras.
