I have recently purchased a FZ3 and been trying to take action sports shots inside gymnasiums. I am an amateur so please bear with me. All my shots seem to be blurry and not able to stop the action. The camera has been great except for this problem. I think that I don't have enough light to use a quick enough shutter speed. Any ideas on how to solve this problem? This is my first digital camera, I formally used a Pentax SLR with a flash and had pretty good success. Will the FZ3 work in these conditions or do I need to take it back and try a different camera? And if so, any suggestions as to which one. I'm really frustrated with my digital experience so far and would greatly appreciate some advice. Thanks!!

Here is a link to some good shots of a basket ball game and the exif info taken with a FZ20. Which should give similar results to the FZ3.
These are all ISO 200
Hoops (http://www.pbase.com/brdavid/nuggetsbasketball)
And if this link will work you should find more info

Could you tell us what mode and what ISO setting you are using?

I was in sports mode most of the time, not sure of the iso setting. I will be taking some more at a ball game tonight, so I will watch my settings.
Thanks for the help!!

I think I would try increasing the ISO and shooting in manual mode, with aperture wide open which should allow as high a shutter speed as possible.
Let us know how they come out...
