SD card read/write conversion

Hi,

I'm looking to buy a SD card and sometimes the description lists the transfer rate as "x60" or "9mb/10mb". I was wondering how to convert the mb number to x--? I'm looking for something above x60. Thanks.

1x is 150 KB/s (kilobytes per second); this stems originally from CD disc speed. So 9MB/s or 9000 kilobytes per second would be about 60x, etc.

But I understand that many companies' 120x / 133x / 150x etc. does not come anywhere close to what the speed should mean ...
