New Canon S3 owner(first pics inside)

I am a total photo noob, basically p&s. I would really like some nice pointers, especially for indoor and night shots. Here are some pics from my front yard and the circus in Memphis, TN last night.


From my front yard. I can't seem to take a real close macro to save my life, the square will always be yellow. This is as close as I can get.

I am probably a 100 feet away but the elephants look fairly close, pretty good zoom.

Nice pictures ;) .

For macro, look for a 'super macro' option or something like that, it should give you 0cm focus distance :) .

P.s., move this "I am probably a 100 feet away but the elephants look fairly close, pretty good zoom." a few pictures lower, first I tought, hmmm, weird elephants, they look like tigers :D (just joking :cool: )
