sigma flash vs nikon flash

Hello, I am just wondering whether the sigma EF500 flash is just as good and can be used TTL with wireless like the nikon SB-800?

What is the difference between these two anyway? Has anyone tried the sigma flash on a D50 before?

This is a case where "buy the Nikon" fits the situation. The EF500 is similar to the SB600 functionally.

Just my $.02 worth.
