This goes specifically to S3 owners. Does anyone else have dust spots inside the lens? I've counted 5 already (after a 1 week use).

None so far. How long have you owned it?

None here either...500 or so shots later

S3 is only 2 days old and yes I discovered about 3 pieces of dust under the lens. To be honest it is really bothering me knowing it is there. It doesn't seem to affect the pictures but then again I'm not testing every single different setup that may enable the dust to show up. I'm upset b/c I returned the first S3 because the LCD wouldn't stay clicked closed when viewing and now dust under the lens. Either the quality control is poor or somehow dust is seeking shelter in my new camera.

Did you return yours or are you going to live with it?

I'm going to live with it. I read tons of forums/articles about the lens dust, and they all keep telling that it's not a problem. The dust won't ever show up in the final picture. That's because of a lens construction. Since I've created this topic I have done a plenty of shooting with my S3, and the amount of dust stays the same. I've never noticed any of it on my photos, regardless of the settings I use. So that's ok with me.
I know the feeling you've got, you've bought a new camera, and there's already something not right with it (dust), but you just have to agree with that, and leave on. Don't waste your time on such little things, have fun and take as much photos as you can :)

Thanks for your reply. Your right, if it is not really a problem I should just enjoy the camera. I did take some really nice shots of my children yesterday...that makes me forget about such little problems in life. Enjoy your camera and the memories it will give you.
