Hello all,
I'm looking very closely into a Panasonic FZ30 as my first "semiprofessional" camera, but am worried by its alleged "noise problem" at ISO settings above ISO 100. I'm new to a lot of photography concepts but I understand that high ISO settings are important for low-light and night shots.
Have any FZ30 owners here had any issues using the FZ30 in low-light without a flash?
Thanks for any replies
Well...the high ISO is not neceserilly needed when taking night shots. If you are for instance taking a picture of some building or something stationary, the ISO80 is sufficient, because you can use longer shutter speed. On the other hand, if you are taking some shot of something moving in a low light (for example kids playing in the twilight) you need short shutter speed and consequently higher ISO.
And if you need ISO 400 then FZ30 is not a camera for you, since the pictures taken with ISO400 are really not very good. I personally have the FZ30 and am absolutely happy with it, because I don't take pictures like the one mentioned above. It's up to you to decide, what is important for you.
You can have a look at my photogallery on one Czech server an look for yourself, what the FZ30 can/can't do.
Good luck and light to you :)
