Firmware upgrade on A700 or A620?

Is it possible to upgrade F/W on A700 or A620 or on other Canon cameras?

I would like to see a "hacked" firmware for the a620 which enables RAW mode, as the Digic II processor is of course, capable of.

I looked on the Canon website and did not see any utility for updating the firmware. If Canon finds some problem in the camear which can be fixed by a firmware update then perhaps they would make that available in the future.

I did see that there is an SDK available for software developers: PS-ReC SDK 1.1 , but that doesn't seem to have anything related to updating the firmware eitehr.

They will not give features with firmware, only major errors,
so ots more attractive to buy a new canon cam and generate revenue
instead of staying with the old.
