The good news is that my F10 shows amazing battery life, having gone a couple of months and hundreds of pictures on a single charge. The bad news is that it only lasted a few pictures beyond when the the indicator first switched from showing full to showing it as having half a charge remaining.
Has anyone noticed similar results?

I've found a similar effect with my Fuji S9500 - not many shots left from when the low battery warning first shows to when it shuts down completely. I always carry a spare set of batteries (4x 2600mAh AA NiMH).

Hi Dave,
I can't say that I've ever had that experience with my F10, but I don't think I've ever come close to exhausting the battery before recharging (other than the first day I used it, and that was because I was impatient to start using the camera and couldn't wait for 4 hours like I was supposed to). I think the closest I ever came was losing one bar off of the battery level indicator, and the camera didn't quit on me soon afterwards like yours did.
The only possible explanation I can think of for your experience is this quote from the F10 manual: "Depending on the camera mode, the transition from (picture of indicator with 1 bar lit) to (picture of empty indicator) may occur more quickly."
