Does anyone no anything about the quality of Quantaray Lenses.? Are they high quality or medium?

It's Ritz Camera's brand. Not known for stellar performance but can give you a decent photo. They outsource - I've heard Sigma makes many of them (if not all). Not sure beyond that.

They are not high or medium quality, but low quality. You can hardly find lenses that perform less. Medium lenses would be a Sigma 18-50 f2.8, Canon 70-300 IS USM, Sigma 70-300 APO DG, Canon EF 50mm f1.8 and such. High quality lenses would be Canon EF 70-200 f2.8, Canon 85mm f1.8 and f1.2 L, Tamron 90mm f2.8 macro and such.
Low quality would be some Tamron, Sigma, Quantaray, Tokina lenses that just do not have a good reputation, Canon EF-S 18-55 kit lens (not bad for its price though), Nikon 70-300 G, most 55-200 lenses.
So... low quality, not high or medium quality.

I have a 70-300mm f/4-5.6 macro (1:2) and i loved it... Then I bought a 100-400L IS USM and holy crap at the difference.
The quantaray is ALOT slower for focusing
I've had some very nice pictures come out of the quantaray though.
For 180 bucks it is a good throw around lens to have.
I did a test with a Quantaray lens.
