Ok I loved this camera when I bought it in April but now it is acting up on me. I bought the camera for airshows and the arishow is next weekend so I need to solve this problem fast. As of last month every photo I take has this strange thing running up from the bottom right to the top right of the picture. I cleaned all of the lenses and filters and the problem still happens. What is it? How can I fix it? Is this a sensor problem?

wow, that is weird. I can see it. It looks like a streak on the sensor. Ide send it back thats nothing you did or could do without totaly taking the camera apart. Its either the sensor or one of the inner lenses.
It's got to go back to Canon...you should have dealt with it the second you noticed the problem...

If you cant exchange it localy then you may want to shoot on the high setting, compose the shot so the image is on the left side and maybe try and compose it so its a little further back then normal so it fits into the area on the left of the streak.

I bought it at Target. I will see if they will let me exchange it for another S2 (I still have my receipt) or I will pay the extra cost for the S3. I don't have time to wait on canon to fix it. Lots of events coming up that I want to take pics of. Should I print out that pic and bring it with me tomorrow to Target? Man I hope they take it back I bought it 2 months ago.
It almost looks like your AA filter is delaminating from the sensor, or something to that effect.

Wow...amazing., Sounds like your Target is like Walmart (what we have up here).
I'm continually amazed at the warantee and customer service from these low-end major stores. Well Done!

Okay...I wish I knew what the heck a delaminator is or an AA does :p

If I were to hazard a guess it would appear that he is intimating that the sensor is laminated with a substance that acts like a filter. " Most digital cameras have an AA filter to avoid color aliasing and moires." how this is implemented I am unsure.
