My camera is brand new. I purchased it a little over a month ago. It has been working fine then all of a sudden a blinking red arrow is always on the screen, and I cant take pictures in any flash mode because the flash doesnt work. I can only used the no flash feature but those pictures dont turn out as good. I have read my manual from front to back and have no clue how to fix it. What does the flashing red arrow mean and is there any way I can fix it? Does anybody know what is wrong with it? Thanks.

My stylus 410 has the exact same problem, only it didn't start happening until 1 month after my 1 year warranty expired. I haven't been able to figure out how to turn the flash off and get decent pictures either. I sent the camera back to Olympus and they wanted $250 to fix it. The camera isn't even worth that much now... needless to say, I didn't get it repaired. If your camera is only a month old, you can probably get it fixed, or better yet, replaced , for free. I wish I could help you more...

I have the same problem with my Stylus 710. It happened a month after I purchased it May this year. I was advised by the service center that it is a common factory defect of the same model.

I bought mine in the US and unfortunately the local service center in my country cannot serve the warranty. They cannot even repair it because the parts are only available in areas that serve a global warranty.
