Advice required re MV 430i DVC

As Im new to this site so firstly hello to all.

Just so I dont annoy anyone can I first ask if there is a suitable site that covers Canon DV camera help ?

Reason being I cannot seem to get my sports helmet camera to work once connected to my old canon MV 430i DV camera. Basically its
an external helmet cam which connects via the av in/out plug.

Its driving me nuts any advice will help greatly. otherwise I might have to upgrade my camera. :( ... dont want to loose the old faithfull though.

I dont think this is the place. I mean i dont think you will get much help here. Im sure there are canon video camera forums but i dont think this is the one.

Are you sure the connections are right? what powers the helmit camera? Does it connect with a din plug or are they just standard RCA plugs?

How do you know your new camera supports the helmit cam? maybe it needs a firmware update?
