Not sure exactly what you are asking, but to be the ratio of an 8x10 take

Width(whatever # you want here) X width +25% = the same ratio as an 8x10

2000 x 2500 for example.

Wouldn't it be 2000x2625 for the proper ratio?

Perhaps I phrased it wrong, the second side is 125% of the first.

2000 x 125% = 2500.

Doesn't your photo editing software have a crop for 8 x 10's, use it and slightly reframe it to your liking.
