problem with transfering movie to PC

I bought Canon PowerShot SD 450 recently. I'm using SD card (1GB PQI 150x).

The problem is that I cannot transfer the movie from my camera to the computer.The movie is 380MB.

Although it can not be transferred to my PC through the inteface cable, it CAN be transferred to the computer when I use the card reader.

When the film is for example 200MB I do not have that problem.

I use Windows XP,processor 850MHz,memory 256MB and USB port 2.0.

Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Any help is appreciated.

I'm just guessing, but correct me if I'm wrong. You're trying to transfer a vid file from your camera to your PC using the USB interface cable by just using the Windows Explorer.

Have you tried transfering the files with the Canon software that came with your camera? Another person on here was having trouble with corrupt files, until he used the Canon software.

If that still doesn't work, then you're stuck with using the card reader to transfer files. I actually prefer that method. I rarely attach my camera to my PC. Saves camera battery :D

I tried to transfer the movie using the Canon software but it didn't work.It seems that the only solution is to buy a card reader ...
