I did it and bought the Nikon D50 Dual Lens kit. Unfortunately I have been so busy, I have barely even used it. Shock.
I am now looking for a good camera bag. I will be traveling in Italy for 11 days. I want soemthing that does not scream :steal my camera", a bag that is easy to take my camera in and out of. Comfortable as it can be. I would be carrying at least:
Nikon d50 w/ lens
additional lens
battery charger
instruction book
italian/english translate book - small
wallet
cell phone
snacks
sunglasses
So, it would need to fit the camera but also have a little extra breathing room.
I am not sure if a back pack is the easiet due to not being able to take the camera out quickly as well as fear of people dipping into the bag from behind, although it is probably the easiest to carry
A messenger bag would feel the easiest to take camera out and would feel safer, but not sure if my shoulder will really hurt.
Ones I read about:
Crumpler (6 million dollar home)
LowePro
Domke
TamRac
I like the look of the Crumplers but one person said it was awful for letting or acquiring dust. Anyone else find this to be true?
Oh, and also looking for a LCD protector for Nikon D50.
Any other accessories I may need? I read a hand strap is more useful than neck strap?
I have a new toy and I am curious ot what others found they ended up needing....
:) Thanks!
