Photoshop or CS first

My employer wants me to start using Photoshop more for web and other marketing projects. I currently know enough regarding ps7 to get me in trouble. My question is, should I take a class in cs or start with the basics of just a photoshop 7 class? If I take the cs class, will they teach me enough about the basics of 7 alone that I can get by with?

There shouldn't be too much of a learning curve on either of those 2 versions. I went from PS7 to CS2. The basics are pretty much the same, just a couple of added tools. Hope this helps.

photoshop changes very little version to version in general...
like said above, if you learn the basics you are set

i think general you can start photoshop cs class... if you go to a class, i guess they will teach the basics as well... unless it was stated that you will need to have knowledge of ps7... other than that, i think most classes on digital imaging will definitely teach basics... so i would recommend you to go for cs class...
