I’m looking to buy a small ultra compact camera and these are the features I am most concerned about.
Shutter Lag – Must take pictures quickly and be able to cycle through the menu systems and review pictures quickly
Image quality – Of coarse this should be good. No red eye or blurriness with good expression of colors.
Size and construction – Small size able to fit in my pant pocket and built solid. Metal body is preferred over plastic.
Battery Life – I’m looking for something with relatively good battery life. Whether it’s a rechargeable or two AA’s doesn’t matter too much.
Standard 3x or 4x zoom is fine, not looking for image stabilization, waterproof, or wide angle, don’t care much for too many manual controls, and my budget is $300 max.
I will be using the camera for mostly social shooting like parties and get togethers.
From all the cameras I’ve looked at so far the ones that seem to be in my budget and kind of go along my guidelines are the Casio EX-750 and Canon SD600. Which one would you recommend and why? Are there any other cameras that match my guidelines that I’m over looking?
Thanks for all your help!
