Anyone got any suggestions on the best Photo printer for around £150 / $250?

I bought an Epson R200 Photo Printer this summer. Got it
for $80 from www.newegg.com
It's the same pritner has the R300/R320/R300M, but does
not have the LDC color display or built-in card reader.
The next step up is the R800.

they are the the best !

i have several of them
The r300 - is awesome

the 870 / 890 or 1280 are perfect..

as stated above the r200 is the same printer...

by far bettter than HP or any others

Just use epson paper - For BEST RESULTS

there is another brand at bestbuy ( paper ) not sure what brand
but the epson rep told me works almost as well.

never the less. you can get deals on line or at stores.

happy printing !!

I have found the Costco/Kirkland Photo paper works very well in in my 870. 125 sheets for $18.99. Good weight as well. Not sure of the archival capability.

I have read some reviews saying that the new HP 8450 is
better than the Epson R800, but I have not tried that out.
As I said in my previouse post, I have the R200, but might
buy the next version of the R800.
Just as a side note, Espon now has new Print Image Matching ICC 2.2 profiles listed on the US site for all of their current Photo Printers.
I tried it with my R200 in Photoshop Elements and the results are much better.
I am glad to see Epson has these new ICCs out.
