lost my Canon CD

where can I find the utilities such as Photostitch and the zoombrowser to download em? :(

Just go to www.canon.com and use the "download" link once you have navigated to the products page for your country. Pick your camera and then the software products you need, that is all there is to it.

yea i did but only the "updaters" were available. not the actual software application

I found this tip over at a different forum (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=1452). Seemed to work for them.


to use the new canon zoom browser 5.5 UPDATE
IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ANY OTHER VERSION INSTALLED OR CD
do this

1. download from canon.com the zoom browser 5.5 update ~ 50mb
(if u trust this link its the direct link to it
http://beta00.c-wss.com/inc/servlet/...ZB550UPDEN.exe)

2. run the program (ZB550UPDEN.exe)
this will decompress another program "ZB550UPD_E.exe"

3. install 7zip (http://www.7-zip.org/) its a FREE compression program
4. right click on the file "ZB550UPD_E.exe" and choose > extract files... >
for example C:\ZB550UPD_E\
...it will extract files to C:\ZB550UPD_E\

5. go to directory C:\ZB550UPD_E\ZOOMBRSR
6. run program "Setup_EN.exe"

it will take a while,
it has ALOT of SEPARATE components to install
i'd say at least about 7 setups will show up
very annoying

this will install the new zoom browser without asking for
old version.
7. it will ask you to restart.(i didnt)


if you have alot (thousands) of pictures in my documents\pictures
when you start the 'stupid' zoombrowser it will begin searching your pictures
and will be VERY SLOW :(
i barely stopped it
right click on the folder with the little flower or whatever and choose 'remove from favorites' (or similar wording)
then quickly change directory to desktop (for example)
hopefully it will stop searching for pictures.
