Which one is a better buy Sony DSC-T9 or Canon SD600. I am also looking at Canon SD700, which has good ratings but is a little expensive than the other two. When i looked at reviews, it said that sony T9 has a problem with indoor pictures and has a Red eye problem. Canon SD600 seems to have higher ratings than Sony. But, I heard that Sony is the best brand in everything. Both are almost the same price, i am having trouble deciding which one to buy. Please help me out. Also, is the Canon SD700 better than the other two. Thanks in advance for helping.

Whoever told you that is either a Sony loyalist, or works for them. I'm not familiar withe either so I can't help you there, but don;t get caught up on brand names. Compare and contrast both, and see which you like better. You may also want to compare not only camera features, but sample pictures of each. Over at imaging-resource.com, they allow you to compare camera pictures between just about any 2 cameras under varying settings (indoors, outdoors, etc...).

Hope this helps, good luck!

Sony HC1000 VS Panasonic GS400, case closed. GS400 destroyed the HC1000 in everything (price, control, video, accessories...) Tell this to the person that the GS400 is regarded as the best consumer camcorder ever built, and it is by Panasonic.
SD600 VS T9? SD600 everyday for me.
