C-750 with Opteka 2.5 AF Telephoto

I cannot get my C-750 to focus on infinity when fully zoomed with the add-on Opteka 2.5 telephoto lens. The camera will not focus in AF or MF. The only way I can get it to focus on infinity is to reduce the zoom, which compromises any advantage of the add-on 2.5 power telephoto. The Opteka lens came with Bower adapter, 45.6-37 mm, for Camedia C-700. I also own a C-700, and the add-on combination will not focus with AF or MF either. Whats wrong?

This is a 2.5x Teleconverter? I've used the 1.7x olympus teleconverter with a C770. Sounds like there is an incompatibility going on with those combination of optics and the focusing of light. Your best bet is using a different TC.

Right, thanks. Probably the wrong focal length with the supplied adapter. Sent it back and got the Olympus 1.7 real deal with the CLA-4 adapter, works fine on the c-700 and the c-750. What is the difference between the two available wide angles for the c-700 series?
