Thinking the S80 because i can take wide angle shots, really wide angle shots with a lens adaptor.

but the sd700 IS has image stabilization. I was doing some searching and i found "clip on" lenses for it.

what is the general opinion of these "clip on" lenses? are they good quality? do they take proper pictures?

here's a link to one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0009JGHYU/002-0954589-8656047?v=glance&n=502394

Eww, Optex Branded stuff..lol. Actually I'm nost sure. But 0.5X off a typical 36mm wide end is like getting 18mm ultra wide for $20. Thats pretty good. I tried out a similar product (0.7X or something like that) except it had a magnetic ring instead of a clip. Quality was ok, not overly good. I dunno what to tell you but if you want to play around with something close to fisheye, go for it.

i'd like to see some example pics taken with this lens clipped on.

will you be able to tell there was a lens clipped on? i.e. corners turning etc.

though for $20 you can't really lose.

well i do lose, in not being able to take wide angle shots.

You can definately see the wide angle but my images were marred by low light and heavy noise. My EX-S500 fails in low light.

(Edit: Oh yea, I deleted the photos at the store because I thought it was a total failure of $50. Its not entirely the lens' fault though. Partially me choosing a bad shooting environment for the digital camera. But then again, if you testing out a lens, you can't 'leave' the store for better lighting. LoL.)
