How are you doing?
My name is Gonçalo and I'm from Portugal.
I've been reading this forum for some time and now I decided to register myself because I'm looking to buy a new digital camera, and I'm looking for some advice.
I like photography alot. My current digital camera is an old Canon powershot A200. I just use my current A200 for point and shoot photography, because I also have a Pentax 35mm camera, wich I use for the more creative shots.
I'm already quite familiar with exposure, aperture, obturator, sensivity and all that. I took photography classes in wich I learned alot. I'm also familiar with lenses, focal lenghts, F-stops and so. The thing is, I use all that on non digital cameras.
My main doubt right now is beetween three models, all canon.
- A620
- S2 IS
- EOS 300D with 18-55 lens (used)
Any of these models will be a huge improvement over my A200, so I realy don't know wich to choose.
The A620 is more compact, and also has a full manual mode in wich I can be creative and have some control over my shots.
The 300D is a SLR wich is very similiar to my analogic pentax, but I'm afraid it will be an overkill jump from my A200, so I don't know if I should jump straight away to a SLR. What is your opinion? Please help me out... :)
