Hi guys,
Just got my Optio SV from Hong Kong. I really want some of your opinions about the picture quality. My gallery of test shots can be found HERE (http://www.urweb.co.uk/photos/optiosv/)
Unfortunately I haven't had a day of bright sunshine since having it. All pics where taken on the highest quality (3 star) setting at 5MP.
I'm just not sure about them. My main concern is sharpness, it seems lacking. Let me know what you think.
My other first impressions have been good. The zoom is excellent, very fast and very clear. The size is bigger than I expected, but I am getting used to it, and it is very light.
The video is another dissappointment though. Quality is fine, and frame rate is really good, everything is very smooth. But the microphone seems to be very sensitive, meaning that loud music clips and sounds extremely bad. I spend a lot of time taking photos in clubs and I am very concerned that the sound levels in these places are easily going to clip. A simple test by playing music at different volumes really highlighted this major problem.
