Kingmax Platinum 6x 1GB SD + belkin reader error [Archive]

Ok, for some reason my post on this subject didnt work....so I'll try again.

I just got a Kingmax Platinum 1GB SD card. However, my belkin card reader says it isn't formatted. When I click format, it formats for a while and then says that it can't format it.

My Panasonic FZ3 uses it fine and I can dump my photos via the usb cable but I'd prefer to be able to use the card reader.

Any ideas how I can get it to work?

My general experience is the card readers are much less reliable than the cards, thus I'd say borrow another card reader and see what's up. Personally I think belkin don't make very good quality products and it wouldn't surprise me if your reader was the issue.

Would it make any difference if I mentioned that I have two other sd cards (different brands, smaller capacity) that read perfectly in it?
