The Scene Mode "Night Landscape" of the Coolpix P3 really needs a lot of refinement. That said because the camera can take very nice nightshots using even the limited manual settings and when not set to Night Landscape" scene mode.
I think the compact Coolpix range needs a little more attention when it comes to nightshot testing since these cameras even with the limited settings can take terrific nightshots.
It is much unfair though that Nikon left the compact Coolpixes behind when using the Scene Mode "Night Landscape".
For the compact Coolpix range users can use the following settings to take very nice nightshots:
White Balnace: Incandescent
Metering: Spot
Image Adjustment: Less Contrast
Image Sharpenning: Off
Sensitivity: ISO200 or ISO400
Noise Reduction: Always set to OFF (strange but true option)
