posting pic to internet

I tried to post a picture to a forum but the picture was rejected because it was bigger than 120 kb.
How can I get my pictures smaller . I am using an olympus stylus 720 sw camera.
the picture was a close up of a ring and I used macro mode.
Camera showed a picture of a flower with an s next to it in the setting.

Olympus includes some image processing software with the camera. That will allow you do change the image size, which will reduce the file size as well. Make sure you use "Save As..." and use a different filename so you don't overwrite your original image.

Or you can use PhotoShop, Gimp, or any number of image processing programs.

I usually use Infranview to resize my pics.
