I am considering purchasing a Maxxum 5D mostly because I have two Quantaray lenses for my Maxxum 35MM. I have already seen them working on the 5D body. Salesperson said there would be no difference using these lenses on the 5D, but I wonder? Will I get the same performance out of my 28-200 and 100-300 lenses on the digital body??????
P.S. My screen name says it all.

I just got a 7d a few weeks ago and all my maxxum 7000 af lenses work fine. I believe there are some differences as to the magnification between cameras but I don’t know enough to tell you much on this. My screen name should be amatuer2. :D
Good luck!

The Minolta has a 1.5x crop factor, so your 100mm-300mm lens will act like a 150mm-450mm and your 28mm-200mm will act like a 42mm-300mm. You'll gain more zoom but lose your wide angle.
