Visiting mom in Sedona again. Very photogenic.

A lot of buildings are really nestled up into the canyons. We visited this hotel that's way on the other side of town (away from touristville), has it's own golf, etc.

This one was snapped when I first woke up today, actually laying in the bed at my mom's house - she loaned us the Master. That can't suck opening your eyes to this first thing every morning. This is located about 10 miles shy of Sedone proper, just as you drive into town from the 17 - "Cathedral Rock" (the bigger ones all have names) ... (oops, glare)

Thanks. I've seen some of your's and George's desert shots - very nice. You're quite the experts at all this. I try. Hard to miss with all this beauty, but somehow I only get about 5 or so in a day's shooting that I feel are up to posting. Glad you like 'em.

(maybe some of "being expert" is showing the 5 that're great and hiding the other 100)

By jove I think you've got it!;)

This is the time of year when we here in the valley start heading for the hills on weekends. This week is low 100's, so it's still golf weather, but the 110's are right around the corner. Payson, Prescott, Flagstaff here we come.

No kidding! 105 in May! Yeah, golf weather. Glad you don't let the heat hold you back!

Sure do remember those Lake Havasu vacations with hair-dryer wind over the bow, 118 in the shade, and that's at the water side. I can only imagine you guys in August! Still, it's beautiful country.

What "valley"? How's it looking photo-wise these days? Hope you can make it with a May Landscape shot.

Here's another Sedona one. Sure would like to take a week or two out that way (that is, if it doesn't involve being unemployed, knock knock). This is from the same vantage point as the first one (above), just zoomed out more. It was standing on the Starbucks balcony at the Hilton they finished last year. Not exactly roughing it, but beautiful none-the-less.

Yeah, little different skyline than NY. :)

Great shot!

My mom's best friend is a landscape photographer there. Her late husband was one of Ansel Adams' students making her, well, her husbands' students. They made fine living and she's almost too busy to turn around with all the continued business.

So, it is possible!
