The sony DSC H2 arrived here in the Philippines earlier than the Canon S3is but there's still no review anywhere. hope you can post it as soon as possible so that i can compare it with the Canon S3is.

If you look on the left side of the home page, you'll see a list of upcoming reviews. If a camera isn't listed, it probably means Jeff hasn't received one from the manufacturer for him to test.

I hope he gets one asap cause i really do like the way he reviews digicams, is there any body at Sony that we can email to send him the camera for review, seeing how great the review of Canon S3is i might wait for it, found in a recent page that Sony H2's 2 inch lcd has 85k pixels as compared at 115k at the S3is, some H2 models got a problen using Scandisk pro duo card (sony released a firmware update).
I hope there will be a special Shoot out between the Canon S3is vs Sony H2 and H5.
I think the Swirve screen is a big plus, having have sony videocams im right at home using it with high angle crowred shots, i hope sony would adop it.
I found a shop selling the Canon S3is and it sooooo expensive!!!! way tooo high than it supposed to be around $650 USD. Sony Philippines WILL BE seling Sony DSC H2 at $600 USD, the cheapest i found was $400 USD, if i find a $500USD here, i'd buy it.
Guess i have to wait.

I actually had the H2 briefly but didn't have time to review it at that point. I hope to review the H5 next, and will only get to the H2 if I have time.

Jeff,
I hope you would review it b4 the H5 as i saw in an article that some of the early model of H2 got r problem with scandick memory duo and sony came out with a firmware upgrade to correct the error.
I want to know if its as fast as H1 in focusing in low light and if there's no more Purple Fringing Problem that was a major problem of H1.
does it have a HDTV mode and what resolution.
this is the model thats near my place and im considering it, but my wife really want a swirve type screen
PS, does the 2 inch screen of H2 a low resolution type?
tnx

Well, I already bought the Sony DSC H2, if it werent for the review of by an owner that even if our model cant accept Scandisk memorystick pro duo, we just buy a sony Memorystick duo pro. Guess what, there isnt any scandisk memorystick duo around here and i dont own any scandisk memory stick, so i bought it, about the screen? its ok with me. Im used to the canon photo quality of my old (but stolen) Canon A95 and my brother's Canon A410 that the H2 brought new vibrant to my pictures. it s flash is powerful and the zoom is increadible, got close up shot of my friends without them noticing me, coz im so far away.
here's a wish list for the sony H6, a rotating LCD ala Canon S3 is, a hotshoe for an external flash, a cmos sensor like the one at R1 and a widescreen video mode,
guess im ready for my vacation on wednesday and get to shoot some wildlife and whales....
