Stag night photo,s lost -- HELP!!

Bought fuji E900, last week, took some photo,s of family ,I could view on camera,pc&all in one printer. I went to my brother in law,s stag night , had the only camera, took photo of the gang, I went to transfer to pc . but would not load. Took out sd card and cleaned it, replaced it, no luck. I then took card to chemist to try in the instant print, it could not read it.
I put in my all in one printer(pictbridge) ,I can view print,s on IT,S small screen. I replaced card in camera, now, card not initalized , displayed on camera screen.I don,t want to format card ,as I will lose prints.is it possible to retrive print,s before I format card. Hope this is not a common problem.

I had a similar problem a year or so ago. I down loaded a program -- Digital Photo Recovery. It worked fine -- restored the photos. I don't recall if it was a free program or not. It might have been something like $10 or $20.

While I'm on here I'll add OT -- comment on the f10. Got one for my wife for Christmas and it has been a wonderful camera. Very rarely does it take a shot she is not happy with. Highly recommend it. Got another recently for a present for daughter. $229 at Sam's.
