1GB for Stylus 410?

I'm looking to upgrade my memory card. Looking on ebay it seems that the 1GB is the largest card available but I'm finding conflicting information on it's compatability with the 410, everyone says it will work with the 300, 400 and 500 but some sites say it will not work on the 410, while other sites say it will. Has anyone used a 1GB xD card in their Stylus 410? Does using this size card slow down the camera?
