sRGB vs AdobeRGB

I have been using two D100 for my business, and I have been curious
about the Color settings over the last couple of months. I have had them
set the same, AdobeRGB, and the color seems flat and bland. I tried the
two sRGB settings and took some test shots, and they seemed to be quite
a bit richer and the flesh tones seem more accurate as well as the other
tones in the images.

If you are a D100 user, what are your thoughts on this?

I have calibrated my photo software, monitor and printer. I found Nikon Capture and Corel Paint Shop Pro X displayed photo colors and brightness differently. Most of my photos are used on websites so I calibrated them to use a windows/internet explorer sRGB profiles.
Find the profile that work best for what you are doing.

If you are displaying them in a web browser, AdobeRGB is not the right choice. AFAIK, most web browsers don't display AdobeRGB well, in fact, just as you said, flat and bland. However, AdobeRGB has a wider color gamut for your printed output. So, for web display, convert to sRGB, and continue to use AdobeRGB for your printed output.

You should not be seeing this issue in your editor software, such as Nikon Capture or Photoshop.

As you can see Adobe is different from Nikon Capture and sRGB profiles. I can't see a difference between the Nikon and sRGB profiles. When I had trouble with Corel Paint shop and Nikon capture appearing different it must have been the profile Corel uses by default, which I can't remember what it was. Everything I use is set to sRGB.

I also checked RawShooter and it uses sRGB for raw/nef files.

Not that there are many Corel users but I found why Corel appeared different from Nikon Capture.

"Corel Paint Shop Pro replaces the RGB (Red, Green, and Blue) colors you see on the monitor with the CMYK colors used in printing."

Amazing what you can learn when you read the instructions. :D
