5D price

i haven't been paying attention to how the price of the 5D has been dropping - i just noticed how "cheap" it was today, and with the hefty rebate amount (around $2669 after rebate). anyways, i just don't think i'll have the funds for this thing until after the rebate is over (july 15) and since i haven't been watching price trends, would any of you care to venture an educated guess at whether it'll drop down to $2669 sometime in the fall? (US prices btw). thanks

I'm no good at this speculation stuff but it wouldn't surprise me if it came down in price. Wouldn't surprise me if it didn't though either. heh.

I was tempted to grab it up at that price but then I realized I dont have money for 60% longer FOVs that I am used to and the added CF cards, and the storage space for huge RAWs.
Really, for me it would be cool just because wide would be wide. Then again, I don't care much for anything wider than 17mm on a 1.6. It looks odd. :confused:
