I am gonna bite the bullet and get the 30D, I have waited long enough, I guess.
I worked my butt off this pay period with overtime to get it. :o
Anyways, anyone know who has the best deal?
I like canoga's pricing but beach camera is competitive.
I wish Dell's deal wouldn't have ended... but then again, I hate paying taxes.

$1172.00?
If it really doesn't matter where you buy... :o
or even (don't hit me) PrestigeCamera.com
$1166.00?
Once you have it... fire up that non-Canon warranty... OMG :o

Obi _ I got mine from Canoga and they will most likely be getting all my major purchases in the future also. Excellent customer service. So far they have matched any other legitimate on line pricing also.

Juan - you 'da (30D) man!
Dell is still running coupons on the 30D some of which make sense even with sales tax given what else is out there. Check:
http://www.supercoupon.com/ amongst other places.

hey guys, it's great to hear from you.
Bluedog,
I purchased my first 350D and a 20D with canoga, I love them, and their updated website. :D
I did forget about them pricematching, thanks for the reminder.
I tried using the coupon on slickdeals for the 30D+kit lens for $1218 yesterday, but it was no longer available despite not expiring until today.
Thanks Peter for the website, I'll def. check it out!
Parm, I have the shutterbug itch so bad right now. I am tempted to pay for overnight shipping.
Don, I have my limits to where I buy, :p
Royal & Prestige are OUT of the question.

LOL - but I think you get a free plaid bucket hat with any purchase 299.99 and over? "ahhh I bet you get a free bowl of soup when you buy that hat."

knowing those companies, you get the free bowl of soup but some of the essential 'contents' are missing, hence the free inclusion.
I'm gonna go ahead an place it with Canoga, the dell deal would still be more expensive because of state tax and canoga will match beach camera's pricing.

yeah, no kidding, and then have the nerve to charge the current price instead of the one that you orginaly purchased the item at.

$829 with EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 lens. I am going for it. Can't resist for that price. Nothing risked nothing gained. They seem to have some good customer feedback. We will see. I will update, when I get it.

I have no idea where you're looking but they do NOT have good feedback on the most popular store ratings site on the web:

If you did order with photonation, you better cancel your payment right away.
They are pro scam artists, and you should NOT believe anyone selling a 30D for such a low figure (unless from some burglar).

WOW, their ratings on resellerratings.com is less then desirable. Neat site though, I have never seen it.
I based my information off of this site.

How will you see that? By them stringing you along? And by them waiting till you can't cancel your credit card payment? Scroll down on the link provided and read some of the stories about those lovely people of photonation.
Do yourself a favour and just cancel the order now. It wil save you a lot of headaches (they REALLY do not HAVE any 30D's for those prices.)

Agreed...
P.S. What is it with brooklyn and scam camera stores.. You can find so many websites that people have made dedicated to these scam artist stores many with audio, video or pictures. It isn't just a few stores either, there are quiet a few.. Is the BBB (thats what its called in the US?) completely useless over there, scammers can false advertise and gernerally cheat people all they want?

Would this be the same Prestige Camera website that's owned by Broadway Photo (aka: A&M Photo World, Regal Camera, Prestige Camera, Preferred Photo) with a rating of 1.28 out of a possible 10?
Hmm.... Let's see what their customers have to say about them, shall we? http://www.resellerratings.com/seller1995.html

Called this morning and canceled the order. The camera that the are offering is a 30D European model, not software, no cables, no charger, no battery. Just the body and lens. Thanks for the heads up.

Outlaw, Just as another heads up, you can figure out what feedback is not legite, and what feedback is, from just a few posts from that link you initially linked. Take a look at who "posted":
Frank
Kelly
Tim
Sue
Jennifer
etc..
No handles, no last names at all, and all cookie-cutter Leave-it-to-Beaver names and best of all, not a single negative thing to say about the store. You can always find someone with something negative to say even if they love the place. Sad but true.

So, where is best deal on a 20D or 30D.
Cool beans Obi - can't wait to see you start shooting again. ;)Ditto! Hope you kept a lens or two as well.

The best deal is a traditional brick and mortar store. Don't get so hyped by looking for "fantastic" online deals. They're usually worth less than the paper they're printed on. There are so many scam sites that promise much and deliver nothing but which will take your money all the same. Plus, if you go to an independent brick and mortar store, you'll get to know the people and will eventually get known and will get good deals and bargaining leeway that others won't have.

Check out this (http://www.dcresource.com/forums/showthread.php?t=14677) thread. Also, this (http://www.resellerratings.com/) site is where you would have found out you were chasing after a mirage. Check your prices on reseller ratings, and buy from the lowest priced retailer with a rating over, say, 8.0 and at least around 200 ratings.
Good luck,
Clyde
