canon Ixus 400....

Hello,

Wonder if someone can help?

I currently have an ixus 400. When I select video mode and press button to start "filming" it takes a photo just as it would if in photo/picture mode.

As a result I cannot take any moving pictures

Is this a result of playing around with settings or an inherent problem. Either way does anyone have a solution on how to fix?

This is the Canon dSLR forum, you should ask a moderator to move this to the Canon forum.

I haven't heard of any problems with the camera that would cause this. Is it the same three position switch on the back that puts the camera in shoot/film/review modes? It would seem that the switch is broken and it's not putting the camera in movie mode.
