Ha ha - Ya, not too bad. . .

Hey I like the lighting shots.

After about 45 minutes and about 300 shots - those were really the only keepers [ I kept bumping my 35's focus thread, I had it on infinity, but I guess I bumped it a few times and about 75% of my images were OOF. . It was pitch balck out there in the country. . . hard to see - well I've learned always check your focus in those situations]. The first lightning shot was the brightest of them all and was wayyy over exposed - I brought it back with the "Multiply" later method, mutliple times over mind you. So the color is a little off and what not but it worked for me. I've shot lighting before - each time I am reminded of just how difficult it is to do. its like timing the random - good luck! after a while you sorta pick up on the cell's tendencies, and you can kinda predict when its do for a flash - but even then its a little iffy. fun though. . .

this weekend. They missed the northside of Chicago completely... not that I'm complaining... don't need my PC detonating.

Nature's "stuff" is growing like crazy, around here, though...

Spring has sprung,
and Fall has fell...
summer's comin'
and it's going to be hot as... trying to get he missus to go for a 70-200mm f/2.8. <-- See how that all comes together in respect to photgraphy. :D

That lighning is a fun shoot... if you can get it timed... good work! :D

CHARGE!!!

Very nice pics. What lens did you use? Did you have to bump up the iso as well as use burst shots?

50 1.4 for the first
Sig 70-300 for the dandilion
and the 35 F2.0 for the lightning shots.

Thanks for the comments guys!

Don thats one crazy picture - are you playing around in PP again?
