I need to run the check disk program for my SANDISK I use in my Canon Drebel. But I don't know where it is in my computer.

Can someone help me find it?

I have used this camera & disk without any problem since November until now.

It's my own fault.........................last week, I was transferring photos when I got this BLOND MOMENT (no, I'm not blond!) and pulled the disk out when
it was operating. (NOTHING personal against blonds.....it's just a joke, OK?)

Anyway, I thought it was OK & I had fixed it, etc....because I wiped all of the pix off of the disk while it was in the camera.

I took some pix this morning & tried to upload. I get the run CKDSK utility or something like that message.

HELP! Thanks! :)

Make sure the card is inserted then double click'My Computer' your card should appear as a drive letter-dont know what the letter will be as it depends on the set up of your pc.Right click the drive and select 'Properties'.That will bring up 5 tabs on the top.Select 'Tools' and then select'error checking'.The card should then be checked for errors.Have you tried re-formatting the card in the camera?

Somewhere in the camera menu will be 'format'.If required use it but copy any images on the card to your pc first or they will be lost.If problem is solved no need anyway.Good luck.

OK! I did re-format the card, but in the process, lost the pix.

But that's OK. They weren't THAT important.

It's more important to me that I can take pix this afternoon & evening and
be able to TRF them.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!! :)
