Hello All,

We had a good time at the Easter Parade on Fifth Avenue on Easter Sunday.

Here are some potraits of some of the participants that passed by St. Patrick's Cathedral:

R-1, external Flash with diffuser, manual exposure and flash:

Thank you Tim.

It was great fun.

The only PP was a slight Levels to brighten the midtones and firm the shadows. No noise removal, it was a non-issue.
I sharpen all images from 200 to 300 at .2 or .3, depending on what I see at 100%. All images have been cropped for best composition. Minor clone touch-ups paper on street, etc.
Before saving as Tiff I increase the contrast slightly , 2 to 5 at most, to add a little punch.

This was a very revealing shoot for my R-1. So far, it is an amazing tool.

Thanks again, Nicholas

So under post processing... that would be a definate yes. This is not an indictment of the camera, but more of a compliment to the photographer. Even veteran professionals, shooting $40,000 medium format digital backs, post process their "keepers".

Considering that the $1000 price-tag puts this camera into the full featured dSLR zone, the term "amazing" may be a little bit of an overstatement. It is a pretty-cool all-in-one.

Again my compliments to the photographer. A very nice job all the way around.
