I was wondering of anyone else was ecountering the problems that I have when I use CS 2 and DPP.

When I work with a RAW image in DPP and bump up sharpening, I notice that once I convert it to a jpeg (max quality) and re-open the file in CS 2 it appears that I have way overdone the sharpening. When I open the same RAW image and sharpen it in CS 2, convert to a Jpeg (at max quality), then close the file and re-open ir I get the same thing; The image appears to have been over sharpened. Is there a reason why this is occuring?

Depends on your definition of over-sharpening. Level 4 in DPP is the highest I've gone and I'm more commonly at 3.

Hmmm, sometimes ive gone as high as 10, and have liked the results but when convert that file to a JPEG and re-open it with CS2 or any other program for that matter, it looks alot different than what DPP was giving me at the time of adjustment.

I'm with you, although most of the time I'm on 2, sometimes going to 3. Once in CS2 and I'm done with it, I'll add a touch of USM.
