Canon Powershot SD200 vs. Sony DSC-P72

I am interested in buying one of these two cameras. I can get the Sony for 60 dollars cheaper than the canon but some people that have reviewed the sony have complained that the camera stops working after 4-8 months but the sony warranty is only for 3 months. I would be worried if my camera stopped working and sony is charging 150 dollars for labor which is ridiculous. I am leaning towards the canon but if some of you have good things to say about the sony please post. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I think the Canon is a better deal. I generally don't care for Sony products, I've had some problems with them. Also, their proprietary memory type is not to my liking. They are pretty similar cams, probably comes down to a personal preference rather than which is truley the better camera. Good luck.
