Just what i've found so far......and image quality is worrying me a bit. Anyway, some thoughts and inputs about these reviews from anyone more knowledgable about digi cams than myself would be appreciated. From what I gather so far, the 1/2.5 sensor isn't going to perform as well as the 1/1.8 in the SD550.

Sample Images taken with SD700 (lowest ISO is 80 on this camera? yikes...)
- is it just me, or does this image of a brick wall show some insane barrel roll!?

why do you think those samples look so bad compared to the ones on...

were the settings on manual mode? i have a powershot sd500, and 90% of my pictures come out very good. the other 10% comes out blurry sometimes due to bad lighting or "shakey" hands and i'm hoping the optical Image Stabilizer on the sd700 will take care of that. i ALWAYS use auto mode with my sd500 so i'm hoping those other samples on the links you had were taken in manual modes. i'm a newbie when it comes to all this talk about ISO or aperture and shutter controls. i don't know what they do or what they're for. i just know that auto settings does the job for me on my sd500. ii'm gonna wait to see other sample pictures from the sd700 before i rush out and buy it. keep posting if you find out more.

Thanks

I found this site that seems to have quite a few images posted by users of an sd600. I figure the images are going to be similar to the SD700 with regards to certain features, such as the blurred corners etc.
