college student needs new camera

i'm looking for a new camera around the $300 range just for everyday photos mainly indoors. maybe for sporting events and vacation. i also want something compact. these are the camera i've been looking at

Canon powershot SD550
Samsung Digimax i6
Panasonic DMC FX01
Panasonic DMC LZ2

i was wondering which of these was better or if there is something else that would suit me better.

Fuji V10 - only Fuji excels in indoor "low-light" digital P&S cameras.

Unless you like noise, I'd scrap the 2 pana's from your list and add the Leica C-Lux 1 instead. And for really lower light non-flash photos, you could look at the Fuji F10/11/30 like Tampajim suggests, or even the Sony W50/70. (or new canons with 6MP sensor).

thanks for your suggestions i will take them into consideration. i looked at the fuji v10 and i didn't like how the lcd display takes up the whole back. my fingers would constantly be smudging the back. noise is not a concern of my as long as the picture is decent.
is there necessarily anything wrong with the ones that i was looking at?
