Well I've been waiting for the FXO1 to come out now and when it finally did and I've been reading really bad reviews about it. They said that the pictures are really noise under low light conditions. While the FX9 didn't have much of a noise problems as the FX01. So right now I'm not sure which one to get. I was going to get the FX9 and then I read that the FX01 was going to come out so I decided to wait, but not I have second thoughts on waiting. So what do you guys suggest? Reviews stated that the FX9 had noise problems, but it wasn't as empasized as the FX01. Thanks.

Well, the FX9 already is very noisy and muddies colours and details too. So, not a camera I myself would want. The best of this Panasonic line is the FX8, the same camera as the FX9 but with a 5mp sensor instead of a 6mp one. If you want to know how the FX8 performs, look up the review of the FX7 on this site. It is again basically the same camera, just a smaller display mostly.

Panasonic has the habit of applying a lot of processing to the image, which almost always results into very noisy cameras. You could do worse than to check out the Leica C-Lux 1, Leica's version of the FX01 I think. It will be a lot less noisy and will have better image quality.
