S2 Neckstrap

I've only had the Canon S2 in my hands since March 23rd. Already , the supplied Canon neckstrap is starting to fray badly. This never happened to my 10D which I've had over two years. The neckstrap on the S2 IS is already falling apart. Is this a problem for this camera or did I get a really poor neckstrap?
I'm surprised that the quality of this particular item is so poor.

Wana trade cameras? ill even throw in a good neck strap.

Mine does weird stuff. Sometimes the screen wont change from the viewfinder to the LCD. Once it wouldnt shut off i had to remove the battery.

Mine hasn't started fraying but the words on it are cracking and starting to fall apart.

yeah i hardly use my neck strap but on the day i decided to use it, it started to fray....very frustrating, so I packed it away and just held onto it =) never felt so much angular freedom
