A friend sent me a number of photos, jpgs, and they are on my desktop marked locked. The trash will not accept them nor will they go in a folder. My friend was unaware that the photos were locked. Can anyone tell me how to unlocked them? Thanks

They're probably marked "read only". If you use Windows, you can right click on them and uncheck the read-only option.

I'd have to venture a guess and say if the file is read only that means you are allowed to view it [i.e. user is allowed to read; as opposed to write = edit or change in anyway] - even if you tried to delete a read only file it should just give you a prompt saying something like "Are you sure you want to delete it, its a read only file."

I'm guess he sent you a encrypted images. Have him send orginials not encrypted.
