View Full Version : Digicam with static/locked resolution?

I work in publishing, and we take thousands of photos which then get batched in PS to run in our books - but our sales people are, well, sales people, and not so tech savvy. They have a tendency to change the resolution on our cameras by mistake, and when this is done to a large number of photos, it increases our databases to a size that makes our lives not so much fun. (We're looking for photos between 640x480 and 1024x768 - Max)

So here's my question - does anyone know of a particular model or line of digicams where there is only one resolution available, or that has such a lockout that would make it near-impossible for someone to inadvertently change it? We employ a large number of cameras across the country so we're looking for something that's pretty readily available. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Squirrel.

Sounds more like you need a program/utility that downsizes any jpeg photo to a determined standard resolution. Any camera you can buy now has much higher resolutions. A utility like that is pretty simple, to make and to implement into the work flow.
