Any new TZ1 pictures yet?

New TZ! owners! What are your impressions of the new camera? How about a few sample shots and opinions.

How about a few sample shots and opinions from some new TZ1 owners. (we've seen Doug's but there must be others)

I'm also waiting just like you to see how others feel. I bought TZ1 a few days back, snap a few pictures, but did not like the result. The pictures all seem grainy. I wonder how Dough's pictures came out so wonderful ? Dough, if you read this, do you do any post-processing with the pictures? Thanks.

Almost all your pictures were taken under poor lighting, and at higher ISO. I guess that's the reason.

I haven't taken too many pics yet...but the ones I have taken certainly look great to me. No grainy aspect. I have just been shooting with everything on "AUTO". The Video is especially impressive! My cubicle mate at work was so impressed, she ran right out to Circuit City and bought one too!

I do no post-processing at all. But as I mentioned earlier using the low ISO settings gives best results. The "high sensitivity" mode indoors is quite noisy. Even in the manual it suggests only using those for photos that are meant to be small later on.

Indoors I would use the flash. In dark street scenes I would use the "night scene" mode and rest the camera on a table or wall and use the self-timer at 2 seconds.
